"This is my commandment, that ye LOVE ONE ANOTHER; even as i have loved you" -- JesusYou are looking at the cover of the new CD from the band Freznel Lenz entitled "Love One Another, " featuring 11 newly recorded tracks. This project is the result of more than 5 years of songwriting by various members of the band, and also includes remakes of 3 songs from previous albums. The band was in the studio at PRAVA for the second half of 2010, and currently aniticipates releasing the CD to the public sometime during February 2011.
As always with Freznel Lenz, the musical styles and genres vary from tune to tune, but the message remains clear.... that the Light which we magnify commands us to Love One Another as He has loved us, and that love is indeed represented in action.
The album begins with the upbeat bluesy, guitar/piano based tune called "Jesus is Not a Religion" composed by Shawn P Kreiner as a non-religious statement about the nature of having a personal relationship with Christ.
"Even If" is the tune which follows, a real rocker that was composed in early 2009, stating the truth that He is with us whever we go.
Next is "Patricia's Praise Song, " a song that was given to the band way back in 2003 by Patricia Thomas a then-resident of the local mission in Lancaster PA where we played.
"Lighthouse" holds position #4 and is a remake from our 2002 debut album. This was the first song we composed as a band, and it was time to hear a fresh recording of it with Heather as the singer!
Following Lighthouse is the ever-powerful country-rock tune penned by guitarist Scott Frantz entitled "Wide is the Road." This is another classic from early on in our nearly 10-year history, and the song hadn't made it onto any of the albums until now. Featuring a dynamic vocal performance from Frantzy, the lyrical content is an honest reflection upon the daily battle we all face while trying to stay on the straight and narrow.
"Jesus U R the 1" is a rockin' praise song composed by Heather Fury, and is an upbeat follow-up that lifts up the Light of the world by His many names.
Then Heather Fury's "Prayer for the Living" is a powerful ballad that reaches beyond ourselves and seeks the blessing from above in an earnest passionate way at track #7 .
"DaredevilBird" is a remake of one of our earlier tunes, and now is a swing tune with very lively beat, and the same unique lyrical content which examines the careless actions we all take in our lives.
Track #9 is the Rockin-est tune on the album with lyrical content from Tom Nauman (inspired by John Newton) and music by Shawn Kreiner. Heavy on the electric guitar, the song is most definately a face-ripper-offer.
"Love One Another" is not only the album title, but also the name of the gospel-styled song, also a Nauman/Kreiner collaboration.
Finally "Laus Deo" has a new rendition to complete the album with world-wide musical influences of praise and worship.
This project contains vocal harmonies, piano, organ, brass, sax, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, and SPIRIT.
